Fishing Charters

OFFSHORE CHARTERS

The Three Jax Nearshore Charter:

  • Trip Duration: Six (6) Hours
  • Primarily Bottom Fishing
  • Includes up to _ anglers: $__
  • Nearshore (9 to 40 miles): Reef fishing for Grouper, Red Snapper, Amberjack, Vermillion Snapper, Trigger Fish and other “at large” species. The open seasons will determine which species are targeted throughout the year.
  • Fishing methods include natural baits, jigging/vertical jigging, light tackle spinning and trolling.

The Three Jax Offshore Charter:

  • Trip Duration: 10 – 12 Hours
  • Primarily Trolling Surface/Subsurface, Deep Dropping
  • Includes up to _ anglers: $__
  • Offshore (Up to 100 miles): Trolling and pitching baits to pelagic species including Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna. Pelagics can be targeted over natural bottom structures, oil & gas production platforms, Fish Aggregating Devices (“FADs”) as well as deep ocean features such as rips, temperature breaks/eddies, thermocline upwellings and Sargasso weedlines. We also target deep water bottom species such as Swordfish, Snowy Grouper, Yellowedge Grouper and Tilefish.
  • Fishing methods include trolling lures and natural baits, drifting live baits, kite fishing live baits on the surface, light tackle spinning and deep dropping with custom electric reels.

The Daytime Swordfish Mission:

  • Trip Duration: 10 – 12 Hours
  • Deep Dropping
  • Includes up to _ anglers: $__
  • Offshore (Up to 100 miles): This is the charter if you want to catch a bucket list Swordfsih! We set up in 1,200 to 2,000 feet of water will specially-designed electric reels or, if you are ready for a workout, custom stand-up tackle for manually fighting a Swordfish! We also have other tackle in board in case a Mako Shark, Tuna, Marlin or Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) decides to pay us a visit on the way to the Swordfish grounds.
  • Fishing methods include The Three Jax “secret sauce” rigged baits for Swordfish and terminal tackle. You have to see it to believe it.

SPECIALTY CHARTERS

The Three Jax Nearshore Fly Fishing Experience:

  • Trip Duration: Five (5) Hours
  • Fly Tackle – Catch and Release Only
  • Includes up to _ anglers: $__
  • Very Nearshore (shore to 3 miles): Stalking Bull Redfish, Tarpon, Shallow Snapper, Jack Crevalle on the flats or in channels; Also target nearshore species including Mackerel, Bonita, Blackfin Tuna, even the occasional Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Kingfish or Sailfish
  • Tackle includes 8wt, – 12wt custom fly rods/reels and flies tied by the Three Jax Team to “match the hatch”

The Three Jax Fall Light Tackle Trolling Charter:

  • Trip Duration: Six (6) Hours
  • Primarily Trolling Surface/Subsurface, Sight Fishing
  • Includes up to _ anglers: $__
  • Offshore (20-30 miles): Trolling, kite fishing and sight fishing/pitching baits to pelagic species including White Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi). Pelagics can be found near deep ocean features such as rips, temperature breaks/eddies, thermocline upwellings and Sargasso weedlines.
  • Fishing methods include trolling lures and natural baits, drifting live baits, kite fishing live baits on the surface, light tackle spinning.

CHARTER FEATURES:

  • All Charters include the cost for ice, bait and feature top-quality rods, reels and tackle. There is NO fuel surcharge – we find the fish no matter what it takes.

What You’ll Need & Other Tips:

  • All trips depart from Orange Beach Marina. Find it HERE
  • Sun Protection: Sunscreen, hats, polarized sunglasses, long-sleeved shirts
  • Rain Protection: Rain jackets, foul weather gear – “just in case”
  • Drinks. Food and Snacks – I provide a cooler with ice. (Helpful Hint: When ordering subs or sandwiches the night before the trip, have them made “dry” with condiments, oil, etc. on the side. This will keep your sandwiches from getting soggy overnight)
  • Camera and video camera that can get wet
  • If you prefer to fish with your own tackle, we encourage you to bring your favorite rods aboard.
  • Please be sure to NOT wear any dark-soled shoes or sneakers as this tends to mark up the deck. (We want to keep her nice and clean for your next trip.)
  • Please be sure to be on-time (early would be even better)

Payment Methods and Cancellation Policy:

  • All trips require a non-refundable credit card deposit of a minimum of $3100.00 to reserve the trip
  • We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We also accept Pay Pal
  • Pay by Credit Card, Debit Card or Pay Pal: Once your deposit has been accepted, your balance must be paid via credit card, PayPal or debit card no less than 48 hours prior to the date of the trip
  • Pay by Check: Once your deposit has been accepted, your check for the balance must be received no less than one (1) week prior to the date of the trip
  • Pay with Cash: You may ONLY pay the balance in cash on the day of the trip
  • Cancellations: Cancellations MUST be requested no less than one (1) week prior to date of trip in order to be eligible to receive a full refund of your deposit. If Three Jax cancels a trip for any reason prior to departure, a full refund of deposit will be made. Once a charter begins and we leave the inlet this is considered a fishing trip and full fare will be charged, unforecasted weather or sea state that requires ceasing of fishing operations for safety and comfort of the passengers does not mean a refund.
